George Patriki has over 7 years lived experience as an ex-addict himself and spent over 10 years accessing various treatment and recovery programs to work through the underlying issues. Soon after exiting the drug culture in 1983, George began reaching out to people with substance abuse issues and has 29 years of clinical experience as a counsellor, educator and clinical supervisor. Pay It Forward
You may remember that awesome movie, ‘Pay It Forward’ (2000) with Kevin Spacey, Haley Joel Osment and Helen Hunt (www.imdb.com/title/tt0223897/). This young boy inspired a movement of passing on the kindness shown to you. We have seen many notice boards with service providers and even coffee shops that invite patrons to ‘Pay It Forward’ and pay for a coffee or another service to a total stranger that needs help.
At Dual Diagnosis Training, we invite people to contribute towards part, or the full training for someone that has applied to our scholarship fund who cannot afford the cost of this training.
