This CPD Activity (category 2) training is available LIVE over 2 days in various locations as listed on the bottom of this page. This training has now been reduced from $1590 (ex GST) to $795 (ex GST) (50% off) during the 2020- 2022 triennium and will continue to be delivered on the Gold Coast and other locations as requested.

The Dual Diagnosis Consultant delivering the training, has over 7 years lived experience as an ex-addict himself and spent over 10 years accessing various treatment and recovery programs to work through the underlying issues. Since then, he has 28 years of clinical experience as a therapist and 20 years as an educator to Government and Non-Government organisations in Australia and in 94 countries worldwide.

This Dual Diagnosis Training Intro video introduces the 2 day advanced training that explains Substance Abuse, (with Alcohol & Other Drugs), as well as Mental Health Issues. This training will equip general practitioners to be able to deliver brief & early interventions to patients struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, as well as advanced psychotherapeutic skills.

If people want a certificate of attendance and qualify for the CPD Activity 30 points in (Continuing Professional Development) with RACGP, they need to complete the full 2 days (15 hours) of intensive training live (or online), covering all of the current evidence based, best practice in the Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) and Mental Health industry from an integrated, holistic framework.

Day 3 delivers module 6 as a category 1, CPD Accredited Activity.

This CPD Accredited Activity (category 1) training is available LIVE in various locations that will be advertised from 1 July 2021 on the bottom of this page. This training has now been reduced from $790 (ex GST) to $395 (ex GST) (50% off) during the 2020- 2022 triennium and will continue to be delivered on the Gold Coast and other locations as requested.

This intensive 1 day training will focus in implementing the skills presented in the 2 day dual diagnosis training and contains interactive activities designed to help doctors manage at risk behaviours (suicide, self harm, overdose, violence and poly drug use).

The training will conclude with enhancing motivational interviewing principles to help patients weigh up the costs vs the benefits and move towards treatment.
